User Installs iPad into Kitchen Cabinet

Around the world, users of the iPad have found a plethora of ways to utilize the tablet PC for their needs. Some have taken the iPad to restaurants to substitute them for menus, while few have incorporated them into children’s hospitals to entertain the little ones. The uses of the iPad have certainly crossed all leaps and bounds but there is nothing that can match up to Sean Hollister’s iPad Kitchen Cabinet.

Sean is a diehard Apple fan and when he first heard about the iPad, the first thing that struck his mind was how to incorporate the device into his daily living. He noticed that his kitchen somewhat lacked a digital touch in it and therefore decided to install the iPad directly into his kitchen cabinet.

Some individuals install televisions or music players into their kitchens but Sean Hollister decided to take this up a notch and install an iPad directly where he wanted it. Not only is Sean an Apple fan but he also a food fanatic. As a result, he found the perfect match in being able to install the iPad where he knew he would spend most of his time. Alan Daly is another fan follower that built his kitchen cabinet to fit the iPad. The kitchen installed iPad comes as a complete home entertainment system which can give Alan news on the go, music on demand and much more.

Alan shares his insight saying that he simply made a polished cut out into his cabinet that allows the iPad to be installed and removed whenever desired. He has also set up a power socket within the cabinet so that his iPad never runs out of power. The only challenge is that he has installed the iPad horizontally. This means that applications that run vertically will have a strain in the neck.

I thought that he had put it in a kitchen cabinet and could not get it out which would have been a bit dumb but its actually a pretty good idea.

LOLLOLOLO, now this is innovative! I might try this myself actually, thanks for the idea. Hopefully my mom won't use it as a cutting board though...
